Job Posting Title: WAE - MIE Industry Coordination/Liaison Position Type: Non-Employee Wages as Earned (Fixed Term) Department: LSUAM Engineering - School of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (Dimitris E Nikitopoulos (00006339)) Work Location: 10 Sturbridge Court Pay Grade: Temporary Job Description: Job Summary: Mechanical & Industrial Engineering Industry (MIE) Coordination/Liaison - Provide industry coordination and representation for the MIE Department with manufacturing industries in support of its educational and research programs including research proposal development, expansion of manufacturing infrastructure. Coordinate LSU MIE Capstone manufacturing-related projects with industry sponsors and experts. Job Responsibilities: 20% Provide industry coordination and representation for the MIE Department with manufacturing industries in support of its educational programs. 50% Provide industry coordination and representation for the MIE Department with manufacturing industries in support of its research programs, including research proposal development. 30% Provide industry coordination towards expansion of manufacturing infrastructure and coordination between LSU MIE Capstone manufacturing-related projects with industry sponsors and experts. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's in Engineering, 20 years of experience in advanced manufacturing experience, specifically in composites, additive manufacturing, friction stir welding, non-destructive testing and lean. Preferred Qualifications: Master's in Engineering, 30 plus years of experience in advanced manufacturing experience, specifically in composites, additive manufacturing, friction stir welding, non-destructive testing and lean.
