Job Description Job Description GDS Associates, Inc. has an opportunity for a Field Technician in the Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Department based out of the Augusta, ME office. This person will be responsible for supporting the Efficiency Maine Commercial & Industrial Prescriptive Initiatives. The individual will provide advice and recommendations on projects to customers and contractors, complete eligibility review of incentive applications and complete on-site inspections. They may have to present presentations and program training to customers and/or contractors as needed. The candidate will be based out of their home office but may spend multiple days a week in the field working with commercial/industrial customers and Qualified Partners (contractors). As a liaison for the energy-efficiency program, the individual will need to be self-motivated, well organized and highly skilled with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. This is a telecommuting position; however, the selected candidate will need to live in the state of Maine. The main responsibility will be to provide technical support to the Program Delivery Manager with: Complete project reviews and pre-approvals for project eligibility. Complete pre- and post-installation inspections (physical or virtual inspections to confirm the proposed materials were installed as specified). Provide technical advice and information to Maine businesses on the selection and purchase of energy-saving equipment for which Efficiency Maine offers incentives (primarily lighting and HVAC). Explain program details and criteria, the application process, including the documentation and forms that are part of the process, and provide advice on other technical resources that are potentially available to support the participant's efforts. Also assist the participants in the application completion process. Assistance to Maine businesses with locating participating suppliers and contractors (Qualified Partners) in Maine that can assist in the installation and maintenance of energy efficient equipment. In-person and online training on energy efficiency measures offered through the Efficiency Maine Commercial & Industrial Prescriptive Initiatives to Qualified Partners, and ongoing technical support to address any questions or concerns they may have. Provide support to miscellaneous outreach and research tasks as needed. The Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Department (EERD) provides expertise in addressing the complex economic, engineering, scientific, and governmental issues associated with energy efficiency, demand response and renewable energy resources that impact utilities, government agencies, developers, and their customers. Renewable Resource Portfolio Standards assessment and development, integrated (renewable, fossil-fueled and energy efficiency technology) Resource Planning support, feasibility and market potential studies, expert testimony, rate impact analysis, and renewable energy resource risk assessments are just a few of the valued services offered by our expert staff of policy strategists, engineers, and analysts. Bachelor's degree or a minimum of two (2) years' experience in energy efficiency or similar experience. Experience in the lighting or heating, ventilation and air conditioning fields are a plus. Full competency in all aspects of subject matter or functional area of assignment. Good written and verbal communication skills. Unique Skill Sets: Proficient use of microcomputer-based word processing, database programming, spreadsheet, e-mail and presentation software. Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks concurrently with a high degree of accuracy. Must pass background check and have own transportation. GDS is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The Adult Immunization Coordinator position is within Maine CDC's Maine Immunization Program. This role will focus on developing and implementing Maine's Adult Immunization Program. The coordinator will ensure that enrolled providers meet program standards for eligibility screening, storage and handling, staff training, partnerships and outreach and education activities. Essential Job Functions: Oversees Activities of the Adult Immunization Program Maintain and expand the Adult Immunization Program including: a. Enrolling providers with adult patient populations in the Adult Immunization Program. Develop outreach materials (e.g. flyers, posters, brochures) to promote adult vaccination among providers and patients. Conduct assessments of the adult program using the Adult Immunization Program Framework. Collaborate with the Adult Health Educator to prioritize counties with low or zero enrollment and ensure equitable vaccine distribution. Collaborate with providers and other partners to increase adult vaccine uptake. b. Conduct face-to-face site Visits in accordance with the Immunization Program Operations Manual (IPOM) including: Assess provider operations, including vaccine storage, handling, and recordkeeping. Support providers with technical assistance and resources to maintain program compliance. c. Support Adult Immunization Manager with program operations Assist with developing or revising policies and procedures for the adult immunization program. Assist with legislative activities such as monitoring and responding to requests for information and data. Assist with program planning such as participating in strategic planning, writing grant objectives, identifying key performance indicators. Phone Coverage: a. Field education and customer service calls from the general public and Providers regarding adult vaccines and immunizations. b. Provide accurate and timely information to address vaccine related inquiries. Healthcare Provider Education and Training a. Develop curriculum, provide training and education and provide technical assistance to Providers to ensure that storage, handling, and documentation of vaccines are in accordance with Federal CDC and Maine Immunization Program requirements. b. Ensure Providers are aware of the dynamic ACIP and MIP recommendations and requirements for storage, handling, and accountability of federally purchased vaccines. c. Lead provider engagement efforts through webinar, health fairs, college orientations, and community events. d. Assist with other related duties as assigned - special projects such as developing posters or presentations and participating in project planning. e. Increase provider enrollment and engagement with the adult immunization program through targeted outreach and educational activities. Reporting a. Document site visit questionnaire data into provider's file or similar system within ten (10) days of all visits. b. Documenting quality assurance data into provider's file or similar system. c. Assist with the preparation of the Cooperative Agreement reports and other documentation. d. Track performance metrics to evaluate the program's progress in increasing vaccine confidence and uptake. Knowledge, Qualifications and Skills : Required: Bachelor's degree required in health-related field, public health, community health education or health education is preferred; however, an equivalent of education and experience may be considered. At least 2 years working in the medical field. Master's level training in related field is a plus. Preferred candidates will also have: Exceptional writing, interpersonal communication skills, presentation skills and demonstrated cultural competence are essential. Strong organizational skills and the flexibility and ability to manage time and multiple tasks with little supervision. Detailed knowledge of all current Microsoft Office software programs as well as any other software programs necessary to perform the job. The ideal candidate should be highly independent, with the ability to take initiative and work effectively with minimal supervision.
