Position Summary : We are seeking an experienced board-certified Molecular Pathologist to join its' state of the art molecular laboratory in the Northeast. Fellowship training in molecular pathology is required. Duties & Responsibilities : Provide clinical evaluation and interpretation of NGS sequencing data for the disease-specific multi-gene panel report generation. ssist in providing oversight of quality management system to ensure conformance with NYSDOH Clinical Laboratory Practice Standards and/or other regulatory bodies. Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure all work performed in the molecular laboratory generates medically reliable data. Provide professional expertise in new molecular genomic and genetic test development. Serve as an educational and operational resource to the staff. Qualifications : n MD with certification by the American Board of Pathology in Clinical and/or Anatomic Pathology and Molecular Genetic Pathology with a minimum of 3 years of experience. The candidate must meet all state and local licensing requirements Clinical experience with next generation sequencing (NGS) assays and interpretation of their results. Detailed knowledge and experience in oncology, cancer immunotherapy, medical immunology and clinical research, is preferred. Excellent managerial, organizational, reporting and communication skills. Experience working in a regulated clinical laboratory environment (CLIA/CAP/NYSDOH). Working knowledge of State and Federal regulations governing laboratories.
