The Field Technician will assist Field Engineers with field condition assessment of boilers, vessels, piping, steam turbines, and related critical components in the power, chemical, food processing and paper mill industries. This position requires frequent overnight out of town travel. This position frequently operates in a variety of power and utility plants. General laboring duties (equipment set up, equipment break down, gathering tools, etc.) Assist at the project site with field condition assessments. Assist at the project site with field inspections of various critical components. Operating various types of hand tools and power equipment. Perform other duties as assigned or required to support the team. Set up and operate heat treatment equipment Determine and implement wrapping specifications Provide expertise and direction to junior team members in heat treatment processes This position frequently operates within a variety of power, chemical, food processing, paper mills and utility plants. Position will entail frequent exposure to varying conditions with exposure to any or all of the following: Heat, Cold, Heights, Dust, Dirt, Indoor, Outdoors, and Confined Areas.
