Job Description Job Description Position Description: The incumbent will perform technical support duties relating to facility management activities for Norfolk County facilities. Related tasks include, but are not limited to: Assist Gas Technicians in various HVAC maintenance and installation duties Assist Technicians with on-going building maintenance Assist in the collection and organization of facility data and facility drawings Assist with HVAC and building engineering tasks Assist with the management of facilities capital construction projects Assist with the collection, analysis and monitoring of energy data Assist with the analysis of energy and sustainability projects Assist with the corporate energy conservation awareness program Assist with facility component inventory and data organization Assist with annual energy reporting Requirements Qualifications: University or College student enrolled in mechanical/electrical engineering, architecture, or gas technician or facilities management course (or related field) Valid Class G2 Driver’s License Computer expertise to apply Corporate software Must be able to operate a pickup truck, small equipment, and power and hand tools Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act Good time management, interpersonal and communication skills Experience in general operation of office equipment, i.e. computer, photocopier, etc. Note: Employment is conditional upon: attendance at all training sessions, submission of required documentation/certification, adherence to the minimum age requirements and ability to meet the employment term. Job Description Job Description Position Description: To educate the residents and visitors of Norfolk County on how to be safe in, on, and around water To plan and conduct educational and interactive water safety community events at various locations throughout Norfolk County To plan and conduct interactive presentations at the schools in Norfolk County To plan and conduct activities and events for Drowning Prevention Week at various locations To perform administrative functions as directed To present and maintain a positive image at all times To provide leadership and an enthusiastic attitude as Norfolk County’s ambassador for water safety To plan and conduct fundraising events, as well as, solicit and obtain sponsorships for events Attend aquatic division meetings and in-house training sessions that are organized by the Supervisor, Aquatics Participate in team building with all staff To engage the community with social media campaigns on water safety education and drowning prevention including Norfolk County’s water safety website. To work with community partners in the promotion of water safety and assist with the establishment of a Drowning Prevention Coalition Works according to the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Lifesaving Society Standards, and corporate policies and procedures To complete reports and recommendations for all water safety events To provide information, pictures and statistics for Norfolk County’s submission for the Lifesaving Society’s Water Smart Award To provide professional and courteous customer service at all times This position will also perform instructional and guarding duties as required To supervise and provide direction to student staff when assisting with community water safety initiatives Requirements Qualifications: *All qualifications need to be current One (1) year experience as a Supervising Instructor Guard Standard First Aid with C.P.R. Level C., A.E.D. National Lifeguard certification Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor Lifesaving Society Instructor Lifesaving Society Aquatic Supervisor Training (an asset) High Five – Principles of Healthy Child Development (an asset) Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Working knowledge of Recreation Management Software, preferably XPLOR/Perfect Mind considered an asset Excellent customer service skills Must have Class G2 Driver’s License Excellent time management, problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills Must be self-directed and able to manage various projects with deadlines Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage other team members at community water safety events. Job Description Job Description Position Description: Provide excellent customer service and administration for all aspects of the Norfolk County Summer Day Camp, Skills and Outdoor Adventure Camp Programs Is responsible for the implementation of safe, enjoyable and diversified summer camp programs as established in conjunction with Supervisor, Community Programs, Recreation Coordinators/Programmers, Day Camp Coordinators and Leaders Provides support to camp staff, parents and participants to help create an environment that will support individual participant’s needs, allowing them to develop skills, self-esteem; and participate alongside peers in an inclusive environment Ensures the safety and well-being of all campers and staff during camp hours Compiles camper and staff attendance and ensure that it has been taken accurately on a daily basis Ensures that there has been a compilation and review of all accommodation records of campers, taking special note of any allergies and other medical problems, and that they have been forwarded to appropriate staff Ensures that all parents have received required information during the summer day camp program duration regarding camp regulations, special events, swimming, lunches, bus times etc. Liaise with the Communications Specialists and Customer Service staff to market/reach patrons through social and print media. Develop camper groups for all sessions taking into consideration age and camper group requests Ensures that there is an inventory of supplies and equipment to effectively operate a quality camp and coordinate the order/purchase of supplies prior to and during program. Maintains ongoing and effective communication with parents, public and staff. Communicate often with Customer Service staff regarding registration and camper needs. Assist with the facilitation of special events hosted by Norfolk County including summer day camp water related events.
