Part-Time DPS Vehicle & Equipment Technician

Overview The Department of Public Safety (DPS) is seeking a part-time Vehicle & Equipment Technician. This position will primarily operate the Department's rollback wrecker and assist with vehicle repairs/vehicle decommissioning. Wrecker trips to some of the State Police offices can take up to eight (8) hours to complete, so long road trips should be expected. These trips can be required for picking up crashed vehicles, vehicles needing larger repairs, or for transferring evidence to a secure area. This position can work up to 24 hours a week, and these hours can be scheduled as needed to support the mission of the Fleet Services office. The Technician's work will be completed under the general management of the shop Supervisor, and the position will work closely with other Technicians.
