The clinic provides a wide range of services including primary care, occupational health, acute and chronic disease management, and urgent care. LINK is changing the landscape of healthcare, and we need a compassionate, forward thinker to join our growing team as our newest full-time Advanced Practice Clinician Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician Assistant (PA). APC's are an important LINK of our care team that provide quality healthcare services to our patients and their families. Quality not quantity is our goal, with average patient load of 10-15 patients per day. We offer same day care and minimal wait times for routine care appointments. Our membership is "all-inclusive", meaning no out of pocket costs to the patient. Being independent of any "big system" limitations, we can always direct the patient to the highest quality, low-cost options available when care is needed outside the LINK continuum. NO LATE NIGHTS! NO HOLIDAYS! NO ON CALL! Need we say more? WHAT YOU WOULD DO Function independently to perform history and physical, including screening exams, for acute and chronically ill patients on an outpatient basis. Work with employer groups to provide comprehensive health care to employees, their families, and co-workers/staff. Perform physical examinations. Diagnose health conditions. Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests (labs, x-rays, etc) appropriate to patient's health care needs. Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities. Collaborate with staff and multidisciplinary team members to identify and implement patient plan of care needs. Monitor the effectiveness of interventions. Act as a resource person for decision making, planning, and policies affecting the health and well-being of patients and staff. Ability to detect changes in patient conditions, and need for referrals, transfers, etc to a higher-level of patient care if needed. Administer necessary medications and perform trained medical procedures as deemed medically necessary (examples include, but not limited to, laceration repair, splinting/casting/orthopedic care, incision and drainage techniques, simple skin lesion removals, foreign body removals, cryotherapy). Continually delivers high-quality patient/family care while maintaining company policies and safety regulations. Performs any other assigned or requested duties, and the company reserves the right to add, change and update responsibilities at any time. Current and valid licensure/accreditation to practice as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Wisconsin. Graduation from an accredited physician assistant school or accredited Nurse Practitioner Program Successfully passing a recertification exam every 10 years (PA) Successful completion of an approved/accredited School of Nursing (NP) Current DEA Licensure State of Wisconsin. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Minimum of 3 years of primary care experience NRCME certification to perform DOT physicals preferred (training provided in first 90 days if needed) WHAT's IN IT FOR YOU?
