DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Survey Technician, you will take on the vital roles of instrument operator or rodman for the Survey Corps in the mining sector. Your expertise will be crucial in tackling significant projects that involve acid mine drainage, underground mine fires, refuse pile fires, surface mine reclamation, and subsidence issues. You will expertly gather essential survey data by skillfully operating a range of advanced surveying instruments. These data collecting tools include total station, electronic distance measuring (EDM) device, theodolite, transit, level, and other tools. Additionally, you will leverage survey software to create precise control reports and accurately compute coordinates, elevations, angles, and distances, ensuring the success of every project you undertake. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
