The Field Service Engineer plays a crucial role in providing installation, service, and support at various Cardinal locations across the United States. This position involves setting up and testing equipment prior to its installation in the field, diagnosing errors and technical issues, and collaborating with design engineering to propose suitable solutions. The role is hands-on, technically challenging, and dynamic. Frequent travel is required, and candidates must be adaptable to changing work schedules and shifts. Essential Functions: Provide service and customer support: Build positive relationships with customers. Effectively communicate with a variety of audiences. Ensure the appropriate parties are kept informed of service-related issues. Produce timely and detailed service reports. Responsible for all on-site equipment installation, upgrades, support, maintenance, and repairs: Perform equipment setup and testing in-house. Perform breakdown and packaging of equipment for field installation. Install, repair, replace, adjust, and align equipment and components. Test-run repaired machines to verify adequacy of repairs. Install machine software to a variety of control platforms. Ensure equipment is set up with the correct IPs and able to connect to the Cardinal network.
