Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience supervising a production/manufacturing team. Thorough knowledge of typical manufacturing methods, techniques, and related equipment. Must have proficient computer skills including applications such as the MS Office Suite and typical manufacturing databases. Basic knowledge of production scheduling, suppliers, and customer interfaces and interactions. Cabinetry and/or furniture industry experience is a plus. Experience in lean manufacturing, knowledge of the Toyota Production System a plus. Ability to interpret drawings and specifications is a plus. Fluency in a second language is a plus. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force infrequently, and/or up to 15 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Job Position: Production Equipment Operator Job Location: Tolleson, AZ Reports To: Production Lead Job Summary: The position is responsible for maintaining up to 4-6 lines maintaining machine operations for foam cups. Performs basic operator maintenance and equipment repair in a manufacturing environment. Job Responsibilities: Record timely checks to ensure that only quality product is manufactured and enters the packing bins. Comply with all safety rules, policies, procedures and practices to include performing lock-out/tag-out of production equipment when required. Diagnose and determine cause for machine malfunctions along with making operator repairs to assigned machines. Perform “scrap bin checks”, “line checks”, and all assigned quality tests to measure the quality of the product being produced. This requires frequent inspection of the product, allowing defective finished goods to be identified by the operator. Maintain established cycle times on assigned machines to ensure production goals are met. Immediately respond to any defective cups or other finished goods that a Packer, Print Operator or Packing Tech identifies. Maintain a safe and clean work area at all times. Perform all required daily preventative maintenance to equipment including eliminating all air, steam, and water leaks. Provide timely communication to Production Lead or Supervisor when assistance is required to resolve raw material, machine, handling equipment, quality or other problems.
