Make necessary repairs to vehicles and equipment, follow up on repairs. Establish and enforce a preventative maintenance program. Maintain vehicle inspection, maintenance, and safety records. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. Coordinate with Operations for equipment inspections, service, and repair. Schedule and conduct safety meetings, ensuring safety guidelines are followed. Manage inventory and oversee procurement of supplies and parts. Oversee shop facility maintenance and appearance. Track fuel use and expenses, and provide reports. Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate shop personnel. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and company policies. What's required: High School Diploma or GED DOT certification for air brake inspection and annual vehicle inspections Class B CDL within 6 months of hire Prior supervisory experience in a maintenance setting preferred Full set of hand tools Knowledge of welding, compactor repair, air brake inspection, vehicle inspections What you'll need: Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, TMW, I-Pak, JDEdwards Ability to interpret safety rules and manuals, and communicate effectively Mathematical skills for calculations Problem-solving skills Knowledge of budgeting processes Join us and be part of "Team Green" at GFL Environmental. What's required: High School Diploma or GED required • Completion of DOT certification for air brake inspection and adjustment and certification for Annual Vehicle Inspections. • Possess Class B Certified Driver's License (CDL) within 6 months of hire • Prior supervisory experience in a shop or maintenance setting desired. • Full set of hand tools required. • Knowledge of welding, compactor repair, air brake inspection, vehicle inspections.
