A successful candidate will have at least 1 year of experience as an LMFT and will be able to meet submission and compliance deadlines as positions are limited and submission timelines are approaching. Location: Delano, CA Contract Length: 6 months with the possibility of extension Payrate: Overtime after 40 hours a week $63/hr Qualification: Minimum of twelve (12) continuous months of experience within the last three (3) years performing services similar in scope to those defined herein, in a public or private institution. Internship does not count towards the required experience. Must have the required licenses, permits, registrations, and/or certifications noted herein. Education: Completion of a master's degree program from an accredited school for Marriage and Family Therapy Responsibilities: a.Conduct assessments, and provides clinical treatment interventions such as brief counseling, group therapy, and individual counseling. b. Consults and collaborates with other disciplines for the care and treatment of patients and participates in interdisciplinary care planning and coordination. c. Performs assessments that assist with and facilitates transitional care planning and coordination that links patients with community resources and services as they release from correctional facilities. d. Conducts assessments to determine appropriate level of intervention, education, and counseling services within the context of marriage, couples and family systems as well as individual biopsychosocial dimensions with specific solution-focused, attainable therapeutic goals. e. Conducts Cognitive Behavior Therapy for individuals with Substance Use Disorders (SUD), either in 1:1 and/or group settings to modify intrapersonal and interpersonal behaviors. f. Conducts assessments for patients preparing for release from correctional facilies. g. Provides education and counseling services to individuals that encourage the development of life skills and strategies for coping and confronting issues related to SUD. h. Develops and/or contributes to treatment and care plans. i. Reviews patient files, gathers data, and completes reports and other required documentation. j. Makes recommendations to the care teams, effectively communicates, and collaborates with the patient and all disciplines involved in the care of the patients. k. Documents and evaluates patients’ progress with programming and facilitates discharges and transfers in coordination with other treatment and rehabilitative programs. l. Works with institutional rehabilitative partners and custody staff to assess patient’s participation and progress in services. m. Attends all case conferences, trainings, meetings and committees as directed, and performs other duties as required. Chiropractor or Licensed Chiropractor is responsible for helping patients achieve better spinal alignment and pain relief. Their duties include meeting with patients to discuss their current ailments, summarizing potential treatment options for patients and using their hands or specific tools to alleviate musculoskeletal pain. The position requires an awareness and keen appreciation of American Indian traditions, customs, and socioeconomic needs and the ability at all times to meet and deal effectively in contacts with Indian health organizations which requires tact, courtesy, discretion, resourcefulness and good judgment in handling functions of a sensitive nature . PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides primary health care under standardized protocols in accordance with provisions of the California Board of Medical Quality Assurance. Initiates and maintains Problem Oriented Medical Records (“S.O.A.P.” format) via dictated patient summaries or handwritten notations and chart entries. Utilizes the IHS Patient Care Component (PCC) forms for data entry into the agency’s computerized tracking system (“RPMS). Provides such other record keeping activities, such as superbills, as required. Serves on various clinic committees and/or special work groups as agreed upon with the Medical Director. Meet regularly with other clinic providers to review patient care issues and concerns, and actively participates in Quality and Performance Improvement activities. Uses prudent clinical judgment when emergencies require action beyond established protocols; notify Medical Director immediately. In the event of occurrences such as, epidemic outbreaks, poisonings, fires, major accidents, deaths from unnatural causes, or other catastrophes and unusual occurrences, which threaten the welfare, safety or health of patients, will be responsible for notifying the Department of Health Services, the local health department and the local fire authority as required.
