Requirements Education: Currently enrolled or a recent graduate of a wine-related degree program. Education requirement waived if you have five years of work experience in wine-related work. Languages: English Professional experience & know-how: Preferred experience in winery cellar or agricultural work. Knowledge or willingness to learn safe cellar practices, including safe handling of chemicals. Familiarity with winery cellar operating procedures. Ability to undergo training in confined space entry, if required. Technical & management skills: Basic math and measurement skills. Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team. Personal & interpersonal skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills. By performing routine bottling and cleaning procedures, the Production Operator will lead the maintenance of wine quality to ensure the creation of the highest quality products. You will understand and adhere to all safety procedures. You will lead special projects in our Production department. You will complete work orders for hand labelling, special packaging, and other non-standard packaging for our various Sparkling wine products. You will load dry goods to and from the line effectively and efficiently. You will perform tasks relating to start-ups, changeovers and close downs with direction and under supervision. You will also perform end of day and shift cleaning processes effectively. You are someone who has experience in winery production. You are a champion of safe production practices and ensure all equipment and procedures are followed without compromise. You are someone who can drive a forklift and either has forklift certification or can become forklift certified. You can understand basic math and measurements while being able to communicate effectively.
