About the job Occupational Therapist HRRMC Rehab department is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist to work at our Custer County Health Center. This position is scheduled as on-call as needed and is eligible for an 8% PRN differential. SCOPE STATEMENT: Occupational therapy services are provided for habilitation, rehabilitation, and the promotion of health and wellness to those who have or are at risk for developing an illness, injury, disease, disorder, condition, impairment, disability, activity limitation, or participation restriction. Occupational therapy addresses the physical, cognitive, psychosocial, sensory-perceptual, and other aspects of performance in a variety of contexts and environments to support engagement in occupations that affect physical and mental health, well-being, and quality of life. Facilitates mental health screenings, assessment, treatment and triage of care for identified individuals in a consultative capacity to minimize emotional or otherwise harm to the patient and maximize participation in the individual's plan of care. Provides quality occupational therapy care in all areas of rehabilitation by performing services at the preventive, acute and rehabilitative stages directed toward achieving increased functional independence and decreased functional decline and the need for more intensive care. ESSENTIAL DUTIES PER AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY 1. Performs the duties per the Occupational Therapist Scope of Practice, including but not limited to: a. Examines patients with impairments, functional limitations, and disability or other health-related conditions in order to determine a diagnosis, prognosis, and intervention. b. Alleviates impairments and functional limitations by designing, implementing and modifying therapeutic interventions. c. Prevents injury, impairments, functional limitations, and disability, including the promotion and maintenance of fitness, health, and quality of life in all age populations. d. Engages in consultation, education, and research. e. Maintains a record on each patient including physician orders, diagnosis, treatment, progress, record of attendance and summary, in a timely manner. Submit and verify patient charges for services rendered. f. Provides appropriate supervision of aides and assistants. g. Establishes the activities program for swing bed patients, contacting those patients in compliance with hospital requirements. h. Actively participates in discharge planning. i. Appropriately delegates care to COTA 2. Interacts positively with new recruits presenting the organization in a positive manner. 3. Communicates any concerns or issues directly with their manager whenever possible or consults immediately with their immediate supervisor. Does not wait to be rounded on to share concerns. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE The Occupational Therapist is a graduate of an occupational therapist Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate accredited degree program. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS - Current, active Occupational Therapist License in Colorado or a permit from the licensing board while awaiting licensure exam. - Current CPR Certification. The Facilities Manager oversees the physical care, maintenance, and appearance of the camp property so that Sky Ranch guests experience a safe and welcoming environment where ministry can take place. This position is responsible for the stewardship of the property, ensuring that the camp will be able to support the next generation of campers. This position is also responsible for coordinating all contractors as needed and works with the Camp Director and other Sky Ranch staff to ensure the camp meets all safety standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manage and oversee maintenance, grounds, fleet, site development, and support all construction projects to ensure Sky Ranch standards of excellence are delivered. Prepare and execute a preventative maintenance program for all buildings, potable water and wastewater systems, fire and safety systems, grounds and fleet vehicles. Maintain potable water and wastewater systems. Perform regular maintenance and all required regulatory testing. Submit water samples to the appropriate state agencies. Manage facility expense and capital budgets, department purchasing, expense and financial reporting under the leadership of the Camp Director. Communicate regularly with the Camp Director on all issues as they relate to the site and facilities. Work with the Camp Director in creating and implementing a camp master plan. Maintain compliance with all state and federal laws and regulatory requirements. Perform repairs and maintenance on all grounds equipment. Maintain safe walking and driving areas by removing snow using shovels and snow blowers. Report unsafe conditions or work that create a safety issue to supervisor immediately. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on all fleet vehicles, UTVs, trailers, tractors, and mowers. Perform other duties as required. This includes cabin turns, kitchen support, and housekeeping. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise the work and conduct of all maintenance, fleet, grounds, and summer maintenance staff, ensuring Christian values are practiced, and preserved. Ability to effectively manage staff in areas such as: selection, development, coaching, motivation, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
