Responsible for ensuring the proper compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications within regulatory guidelines, company policies, and procedures. Supports the efficient workflow of the pharmacy and assists the pharmacy manager in optimizing pharmacy financials, inventory management, and enhancing patient experience. Job Responsibilities/Tasks Patient Experience Engages patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves patient issues promptly and answers questions to ensure a positive experience. Models and shares customer service best practices to deliver a distinctive and joyful experience, demonstrating care and Walgreens service traits. Connects with patients by anticipating needs and proactively offering services, including healthcare services like medication management and immunizations. Participates in community events as requested. Operations Counsels patients on medication usage, side effects, interactions, and refers to medical providers as needed. Performs tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management. Ensures pharmacy operates according to regulations and company policies, assisting with workflow and shift duties. Maintains knowledge of pharmacy systems and ensures accurate processing of insurance claims. Follows up with medical providers for clarifications and performs clinical services. Assists in analyzing performance data and developing community relationships. People & Performance Management Assists with staff hiring and training, coaching, and fostering teamwork. Training & Personal Development Maintains current licenses and certifications, pursues professional development. Communications Supports communication of corporate health and wellness strategies to staff. About Walgreens Boots Alliance Walgreens Boots Alliance is a global leader in retail pharmacy and healthcare, with a rich heritage and a focus on community health. It operates approximately 12,500 locations worldwide and employs around 312,000 people. Minimum Qualifications BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited institution. Current pharmacist licensure in the relevant states. Experience with prescription dispensing and knowledge of controlled substance laws. Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days. Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures. Requirements/Qualifications: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution. Appropriate state licensure. Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients. Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.
