Overview Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner (Full-Time) Role summary: Under the general direction of the Practice Physician, the Chief Nursing Officer, and the Executive Director Practice Manager, the Nurse Practitioner will assess and manage the health care of patients, promote health, and provide care in keeping with NP parameters in a healthcare setting. Collaborate with patients and families to establish evidence-based, mutually acceptable plans of care that maximize health potential while considering cost awareness. Formulate and implement treatment plans, including ordering diagnostic tests, patient education, and appropriate referrals or consultations. Provide patient-centered interventions and follow-up, document outcomes, and modify plans as necessary to achieve health goals. Emphasize patient and family education, promote self-care, and facilitate access to care in a safe environment. Participate as a team member in the provision of health care and maintain accurate, confidential records. Engage in quality assurance activities, periodic record and treatment plan reviews, and ongoing continuing education to maintain current knowledge. Participate in multidisciplinary protocol development and policy advisement as the care environment evolves. Perform other duties as assigned or required. Qualifications Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing; graduation from an accredited School of Nursing program. Licensure/Certification: Unencumbered current Georgia license to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse in Georgia; BLS-CPR certification. Experience: Three to five years of supervisory experience in healthcare or related industry; intermediate computer skills (word processing/spreadsheets).
