Bridge Crew Equipment Operator for O'Brien County

O'Brien County, Iowa - Engineer's Office O'Brien County, Iowa - Engineer's Office 155 South Hayes Avenue, Primghar, IA 51245 712-957-3425 Full-time equipment operator at the O'Brien County Bridge Shop in Primghar, Iowa. Desired Qualifications: Successful candidate will operate heavy construction equipment; dozers, rubber tired loaders, excavators, skid loaders, trucks with trailers. Perform skilled tasks in the construction, repair, and maintenance of county bridges and culverts as directed by the county engineer, maintenance superintendent, or road foreman. Perform equipment maintenance and minor repairs on all machines operated. Other duties include operating a truck with attached snow equipment on designated county routes and subject to on call after normal work hours and weekend snow schedule during winter season. Experience and training in the operation of trucks with attachments and heavy construction equipment is desired. Candidate must possess or be willing to obtain a valid Class A COL with air brake endorsement. Within six (6) months, the successful candidate is required to reside within 30 minutes driving time during normal conditions from the assigned location. Pre-employment drug testing and pre-employment physical are requirements of this position along with random drug and alcohol testing consistent with county policy and federal law.
