When they get better at their jobs, our patient’s wounds heal faster and that is our goal! ***We are accepting applications for potential future opportunities and do not currently have an open position*** Who we are looking for: The best leaders… who also happen to be licensed Nurse Practitioners (NP, ARNP, FNP, APRN) and Physician Assistants (PA-C) What winning looks like: Lead and develop collaborative multidisciplinary wound care teams Travel to scheduled locations weekly for wound rounds and house calls, in an assigned region Provide the highest quality skin and wound care services to patients Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic studies to assess change to patients’ health care needs Perform bedside wound care skills including: wound assessment, dressing application, pressure relief, pain/odor control, and minor surgical procedures Track the progress of wound healing and document timely in UWH’s own wound care EMR Develop a treatment plan for skin and wound conditions based on the individual needs of each patient, and UWH’s Clinical Practice Guidelines Collaborate virtually with our medical leadership including board certified physicians and surgeons specializing in wound care, dermatology, podiatry, vascular surgery, and infectious disease Skills required for winning: This fast-paced position requires standing for extended amounts of time Driving! Licensed by the Idaho and Washington Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (possession of a DEA) Possession of Malpractice Insurance if Independent Contractor (offered by the company for W2 employees) 1 year of Geri Psych Experience. 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals. Skills Basic computer knowledge. Excellent written communication. Attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills. Flexible, organized, and functions under stressful situations.
