Role Summary Global Litigation Counsel Manage all litigation and claims across global enterprise. Directs strategy but relies on outside counsel to appear in court. Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities In the role of Chief Litigation Counsel for the Company, supervise and direct the defense and prosecution of the Company’s litigation globally—including multi-million dollar Class Actions, Complex Commercial suits, Antitrust matters, Government Investigations, and Mass Torts—to optimal resolution. Manage the Company’s litigation in a manner which supports the Company’s broader business objectives, focusing on treating each matter as having an “investment thesis” and a tangible and intangible ROI. Aggressively manage litigation-related costs, including attorneys', experts', and third-party fees and expenses, through strong forecasting disciplines. Develop metrics to better understand “demographics” of cases and claims for root cause evaluation and evaluate efficiency and cost-effectiveness of claims and litigation management processes. Interface with senior management, in-house corporate accounting and outside financial auditors regarding financial implications of the Company’s litigation. Conduct litigation liability/risk due diligence for company’s acquisitions and divestitures to identify material potential liabilities/risks and suggest indemnities or other risk-avoiding or risk-shifting measures, and seamlessly integrate litigation of acquired entities. Develop Enterprise Risk Management tools, processes and strategies to successfully decrease/mitigate enterprise-wide exposure to adverse judgments, settlements, class actions, and fines. Improve processes to inform line managers of financial implications of legal risks engendered by product claims, product functionality and product quality for their organizations, and develop the proper incentives for them to reduce legal claims and cases and corresponding legal expenses related to claims and litigation. Direct corporate records management globally, supervise e-discovery to ensure legal compliance, coordinate with Information Technology on litigation-related legal technology matters, and oversee use of litigation-related case management, legal hold, e-billing and e-discovery software. Supervise outside litigation counsel nationwide and globally and two paralegals internally. Education and Experience BA/BS and JD Degree from an accredited institution. 15+ years primarily of litigation and litigation management experience, of which at least 5 years were spent conducting litigation within a law firm and at least 5 years were spent in-house managing litigation. Consumer products, pharmaceutical and medical devices industry experience. Member of at least one state bar. Demonstrated ability of providing “hands on” management and prioritization among all aspects of a large number of cases and claims. Knowledge and experience with lawsuits and claims involving various areas of law. Knowledge and experience with Government investigations and claims. Demonstrated ability to identify root causes of, and lead efforts to reduce, litigated claims and improve cost-effective resolution of claims. Demonstrated strong leadership, client development, communication, analytic, organization and implementation skills. Experience implementing enterprise-wide document management and retention practices. Thorough knowledge of federal and state court rules. Familiarity with litigation-related computer software programs. Demonstrated broad business orientation and ability to establish instant credibility as an attorney. Effective strategist and tactician in responding to major lawsuits. Intense business focus, with a strong work ethic and a passion for understanding the business. Experience recruiting, hiring, retaining, managing and developing other lawyers and/or support staff. Skills and Competencies Strong leadership, client development, analytic, organization and implementation skills. Negotiating skills. Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to work and interact with senior corporate management. Supervisory skills and experience. Litigation experience, including trial experience. Portée de Poste Le/La Chef Sénior en Ingénierie, responsable des Utilitaires et Bâtiments, joue un rôle clé dans la gestion et l’optimisation des systèmes utilitaires et des infrastructures du site. Il/elle veille à ce que l’ensemble des installations répondent aux plus hauts standards de production, de sécurité, et de conformité environnementale dans notre milieu régulé pharmaceutique, tout en soutenant les objectifs d’efficacité et d’innovation de l’entreprise. Membre du comité de gestion du site, le/la titulaire du poste travaillera en étroite collaboration avec la direction et les équipes multifonctionnelles pour aligner les projets avec les objectifs stratégiques de l'entreprise. Tâches et Responsabilités Gestion d’Équipe et Leadership : Fournir un leadership inspirant et une vision claire aux membres de l'équipe. Encadrer et développer l’équipe d’ingénieurs et de techniciens, en assurant leur formation continue et leur progression professionnelle. Créer un environnement de travail collaboratif et axé sur la résolution de problèmes. Gestion des Utilitaires, Bâtiment et du Budget : Préparer, surveiller et contrôler le budget du département, couvrant les dépenses d’exploitation et les investissements en capital du site. Superviser le fonctionnement et la maintenance des systèmes utilitaires (HVAC, électricité, eau, gaz, etc.). Assurer l’efficacité énergétique des systèmes et proposer des améliorations pour réduire la consommation d’énergie. Diriger la gestion de projet pour l'achat et la mise en service de nouvelles machines de production, installations de services et améliorations des infrastructures du bâtiment. Collaborer avec des prestataires externes pour la réalisation de travaux spécialisés. Surveiller et optimiser l'utilisation des logiciels, systèmes automatisés et interfaces humaine-machine de l'usine. Conformité et Sécurité : Veiller au respect des Bonnes Pratiques de Fabrication et des normes de Santé, Sécurité et Environnement (SSE), et supporter l’amélioration de la conformité du site. Contrôler et améliorer le programme de sécurité du site et les plans de réponse d’urgence. Assurer la saine gestion documentaire, incluant les procédures départementales, les protocoles de validation et les contrôles de changement, les clôtures de projets, etc. Participer activement aux audits internes et externes, en tant que représentant des installations techniques. Autres tâches connexes. Qualifications Diplôme universitaire en génie mécanique, électrique ou tout autre domaine connexe. Minimum de 8 ans d’expérience dans un rôle similaire au sein d’une organisation manufacturière réglementée, industrie pharmaceutique, cosmétique ou alimentaire. Membre de l'Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec. Leadership et vision stratégique. Solides compétences en organisation/gestion de temps, gestion de projets et leadership d’équipe. Capacité à travailler sous pression et à gérer plusieurs priorités. Connaissance approfondie des systèmes de gestion de bâtiments. Solides compétences analytiques et en résolution de problèmes. Esprit collaboratif et orientation vers les résultats. Excellentes aptitudes en communication orale et écrite. Parfaitement bilingue (français/anglais). Maîtrise des outils Microsoft 360. Certification en Lean Manufacturing (un atout).
