Job Description Job Description Quality Supervisor: Lena, IL Our client is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead and enhance the food safety and quality initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to oversee quality operations and contribute to continuous improvement efforts in a dynamic environment. The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for driving food safety and quality assurance programs in the plant. This role oversees lab operations, supervises a team of lab technicians, and ensures compliance with food safety standards. From training staff to managing audits, this position is integral to maintaining product quality and achieving operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage plant food safety programs to meet company and regulatory requirements. Supervise lab technicians, oversee daily lab activities, and ensure testing is conducted accurately and efficiently. Develop and deliver training programs for employees on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and quality standards. Conduct regular inspections and audits to uphold food safety, sanitation, and quality protocols. Oversee the review and approval of product labels to ensure they meet compliance standards. Manage lab scheduling, inventory, and expenses to maintain operational efficiency. Collaborate with the HACCP team to implement and monitor critical food safety plans. Report on key quality metrics and trends and develop action plans for continuous improvement. Assist with customer, regulatory, and third-party audits, ensuring the facility is always audit-ready. Troubleshoot sanitation or quality issues and implement corrective actions to maintain high standards. Skills & Experience : Education : Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Dairy Science, or related discipline, preferred Experience : 3+ years of leadership experience in quality assurance/control in food manufacturing, required Proficiency : Strong understanding of sanitation practices, food safety regulations, and quality management systems, required Knowledge: FSMA compliance, HACCP principles, preventative controls, continuous improvement methodologies, and CAPA systems, preferred Software: Microsoft Office and quality-related database systems, required What W e Offer: Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, & vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan Life Insurance Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Paid Time Off Pay: $73,000 - $84,000/year Type: 1st shift, Full-time, onsite (no hybrid or WFH) Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. If you’re ready to bring your skills, leadership, and passion for quality to the table, we want to hear from you!
