Shift : Thursday and Sunday: 10:45pm 6:45am / Friday and Saturday nights: 10:45pm 10:45am Pay Rate : $16/hour We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Non-CDL Driver with a Chauffeur License to operate a box truck for our company in Michigan. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods to various destinations while providing exceptional customer service. This role involves operating a box truck, handling deliveries, and maintaining a high standard of vehicle care. Key Responsibilities: Safe Transportation: o Operate a box truck safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. o Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness. Delivery and Pick-Up: o Deliver goods to specified locations in a timely manner. o Ensure accurate delivery of products and obtain necessary signatures and documentation. Customer Interaction: o Provide excellent customer service by maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor. o Communicate effectively with customers to confirm delivery details and resolve any issues. Vehicle Maintenance: o Perform routine maintenance checks on the box truck, including checking oil, fuel, and other fluids. o Report any vehicle malfunctions or issues to the Logistics Manager immediately. Compliance and Safety: o Follow company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). o Maintain a clean driving record and comply with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations. Documentation: o Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including time logs, delivery receipts, and mileage. o Submit daily and weekly reports as required by the Logistics Manager. Qualifications: Experience: o Minimum of 1 year of experience driving a box truck or similar vehicle. o Experience in a delivery or logistics role is preferred. Licensing and Certification: o Valid chauffeur's license in the state of Michigan. o Clean driving record with no major traffic violations in the past 3 years. Skills: o Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations. o Strong communication and customer service skills. o Ability to handle heavy lifting and physical labor as required by the job. Technical Proficiency: o Familiarity with GPS systems and route planning. o Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Personal Attributes: o Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic. o Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. o Attention to detail and commitment to safety. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
