How this role contributes to the Y’s mission: As a Camp Nurse for Camp Puh'tok, you will take an active interest in the health care of all children and camp associates including prevention measures, early intervention, and health maintenance practices. You will observe the health status of children, in conjunction with camp staff, provide health services at the center, and follow up on health problems with camp leadership. You will work with all camp staff toward the goal of optimum health for the children. You will also monitor all camp health records, including immunization certificates for expiration dates. As a Camp Nurse, you’ll contribute to the Y movement by providing experiences that lead to a summer of adventure and a lifetime of memories. This work is right for you if you have: An interest in the well-being of camp age children, enthusiasm, patience, good humor, good judgment, and a good spirit. The ability to clearly communicate and effectively listen to children, parents/guardians, members, and other Y associates. An RN or LPN current license in the state of Maryland.
