Requisition ID: 13523 Location: Addison, TX, US, 75001-4243 Pay Type: Salary Travel Requirement: 71-80% Role Description Working with the Sales Manager II, the Area Sales Manager is responsible for developing the market sales strategy and leading, managing, and developing a team of Sales Representatives to execute the strategy for the assigned geography. This includes achieving sales and profitability objectives, developing marketing strategies, recruiting and training staff, overseeing customer relations, and managing administrative systems to support sales activities. What You'll Accomplish Promote safety culture and adhere to safety policies. Develop and implement market-specific strategies and account plans. Build and nurture customer relationships, negotiate, and identify customer needs. Manage business operations to meet targets, including price and volume strategies. Lead and develop field personnel, set objectives, and review performance. Implement effective sales processes and champion change. Engage with legislative bodies and industry associations. Identify cross-selling opportunities and track account plans. Forecast demand and manage supply planning, report on business performance, and handle customer complaints. Maintain safety and environmental policies across all work environments. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or 5 years of senior sales experience managing a business of at least $25m - $35m. Preferred: Master's degree, CIM certification, experience in construction materials, and proficiency in Microsoft and SAP. 3-5 years of relevant commercial experience. Travel required: 75%.
