Plans, coordinates, supervises, and carries out the activities of the CT area. Work is carried out in an independent, professional manner with minimal supervision. Education Technical or Vocational school plus up to 2 years specialty training Experience One year of related experience. Requires a working knowledge of standard practices and procedures. Licenses & Certifications *Healthcare Provider (CPR) within 30 days from hire. *Radiologic Technologist Qualifications *Graduate of an approved 2-year Radiological Technology program. *One year experience required in CT field. *Registered Technologist. Area of Responsibilities *Demonstrates competency in patient care according to the age of the patient and population served. *Perform CT procedures. *Responsible for CT maintenance on equipment including proper records. *Responsible for individual continuing education to maintain registry. *Responsible for QA/QC programs. *And other related duties. *Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development. *Demonstrates the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient's needs. *Demonstrates understanding of the range of treatment needed by these patients (age and diagnosis). *Responsible for CQI related duties. *Responsible for maintenance of proper patient records. Compliance Statement Employee performs within the prescribed limits of Tanner Health System's Ethics and Compliance program. Is responsible to detect, observe, and report compliance variances to their immediate supervisor, the Compliance Officer, or the Hotline. Definitions *Plans, coordinates, supervises, and carries out the activities of the CT area. Work is carried out in an independent, professional manner with minimal supervision. Contact With Others Requires frequent but limited contacts with many others to do job, or extensive contacts with a limited number of categories of people to apply procedures or treatment. Requires discretion and tact to interpret departmental procedures.
