Job Description Design, develop, optimize, and deploy computer vision algorithms, models, and applications using deep learning and machine learning frameworks. This role will be hybrid if based near a MiTek office, with the option to be fully remote if not located near a MiTek office. Job Responsibilities & Requirements What You Will Do: Research and implement state-of-the-art computer vision techniques for object detection, text extraction, segmentation, face recognition, and video analysis. Lead complex AI (Artificial Intelligence) projects, including predictive modeling, machine learning, and statistical analysis. Develop and execute the AI strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives. Lead, mentor, and coach junior members of the AI team, fostering their professional growth. Manage and prioritize multiple projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Create advanced data visualizations and dashboards to communicate effectively. Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers, product managers, and researchers to deliver high-quality products and services. Stay updated with the latest developments and trends in computer vision and artificial intelligence. Interact with customers and cross-functional departments to understand project needs and requirements, collect data sets, and convert the business requirements into technical specifications. Develop POCs and prototypes (including data explorations) in a fast-paced environment to ensure feasibility, scalability, and accuracy of AI models. Educate and evangelize the use of AI among internal and external stakeholders. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in a related field required 5+ years of experience in computer vision, image processing, or related domains required Proficient in Python and SQL required Proficient with machine learning, deep learning, and deployment frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras, Scikit-learn, Numpy, Pandas, OpenCV, Restful APIs, Docker required Experience with deep learning models and architectures, such as CNN, RNN, LSTM, GAN, YOLO, etc. required Experience in developing and deploying computer vision applications on cloud platforms such Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud required Experience with parallel and distributed computing frameworks and platforms such as PySpark, Cuda, Databricks highly preferred Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholders Strong leadership and mentoring abilities preferred Strong business acumen and the ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations preferred MiTek Perks: Flexible Paid Time Off - take as much time off as you need! Conducts IATF 16949 and other internal audits. Assists with the development of PPAP documentation for customers and review of supplier PPAPs. Assists in designing or purchasing measuring equipment to meet product specifications relative to quality and automated gaging to improve throughput. Able to travel up to 25%, both domestically and internationally (i.e. customer/supplier visits) Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Quality Engineer - Qualifications: Demonstrate an expertise in problem solving skills, including being able to identify, investigate and countermeasure manufacturing or supplier related technical and / or systemic issues. Possess the ability to be self-directed. Able to build effective teams and the ability to work with suppliers, plant manufacturing, and purchasing to ensure the deliverables are met. Experience with manufacturing processes for components. Experience with automotive components and functional requirements. Qualified candidate will have a 4-year technical or business degree.
