Job Description: New and Experienced Carpenters At Straight Edge Customs we specialize in all aspects of carpentry! Key Responsibilities: Interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine project specifications and requirements. Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials according to design plans. Install structures and fixtures, such as cabinets, doors, windows, and molding, ensuring they are level, plumb, and secure. Repair and replace faulty or damaged structures and fixtures. Operate hand and power tools, such as drills, saws, planes, routers, and sanders. Utilize appropriate safety equipment and follow all established safety guidelines and procedures. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored and maintained. Calculate dimensions and requirements for materials based on project specifications. Adhere to building codes and regulations, ensuring compliance with all applicable standards. Continuously update carpentry knowledge and skills through attending workshops and staying informed about industry trends and advancements. Qualifications: Previous experience in carpentry is preferred, but we are also open to hiring new carpenters who are willing to learn and develop their skills. Proficient in using hand and power tools commonly used in carpentry work. Solid understanding of construction and carpentry techniques, materials, and processes. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and architectural drawings. Strong attention to detail and ability to measure accurately. Physical stamina and dexterity required to perform tasks that involve standing, bending, lifting, and operating heavy machinery. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve potential issues. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members. Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to follow established guidelines to ensure a safe work environment. High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational or technical training is a plus. BODY MECHANICS OF SCHOOL BUS DRIVER School Bus Drivers are required through their employment to perform various tasks. These physical tasks require varying degrees of lifting, pulling, bending and carrying of heavy objects. Some examples of these are: Opening and closing a bus hood and lifting the hood up to perform pre-trip requirements of the engine. Opening and closing of bus entrance and emergency doors. Bending, pushing and pulling to load and unload a wheelchair, with or without a passenger, onto a lift platform, by exerting a maximum of 40 lb. of push/pull pressure. Bending, supporting and otherwise physically helping passengers into and out of a school bus. Carrying and lifting into and from the school bus, personal articles and adaptive equipment of various weights and sizes. The expected caseload would be an average volume that supports current production with an average processing time that meets or exceeds market expectations.Maintain an open line of communication with the applicant throughout the processing period, assisting them with any questions and notifying them of any additional information needed.
