JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Repack Associate Operator Position Reports To: Repack Supervisor FLSA Status: Hourly 18.30-19.35 Full time position. After 60 days eligible for benefits. After 90 days 40 hours of vacation. 5:30am-4:00pm Monday- Friday. Some Saturdays possible. Position Purpose Summary: The Repack Associate 3 performs equipment operation and/or line leadership to fulfill daily repack schedule. Principal Job Responsibilities: Serve the needs of customers and all stakeholders. Adhere to all Food Safety Policies and GMP practices. Demonstrate mastery of all responsibilities & functions within Repack Associates Levels 1 & 2. Resort Line Leader: Record Daily Resort production and turn in paperwork to Repack Administrator. Maintain daily records of finished product & repack documentation as required. Bagger Operator/Line Leader: Demonstrate proficient knowledge of line setup, scale installation, film loading, forming tube installation, Hayseen programming & taper setup for each run. Consistently check packaging to ensure seal condition and make adjustments in programming as necessary. Consistently check weight of finished bags to ensure measurements are accurate and make any necessary adjustments in programming. Work closely with maintenance & sanitation to ensure consistent scale condition and performance, report any damage or issues to Repack Supervisor immediately. Bulk Line Operator: Demonstrate proficient knowledge of line setup, bulk scale programming, box erector and taper setup specific to each run. Check finished product weights and adjust programming accordingly to ensure product weights are consistent and accurate. Verify carton markings to ensure legibility and position on carton, inform Floor Supervisor if adjustments are required. Blend Operator/Forklift Assistant: Demonstrate proficient knowledge of 6-way dump station programming to meet customer specific percentages by ingredient. Operate scales and tote fill station to required fill weights by order. Assist forklift driver with all ingredient prep, opening totes, etc. Record all ingredients used and pallets produced as needed. Monitor percentage testing in lab and adjust equipment programming accordingly. Be flexible to assist in all areas as needed. General Responsibilities: Ensure customer requirement familiarity regarding packaging, product quality, labeling, pallet stack pattern or limitations and validate these are met for each run. Demonstrate understanding of & follow Daily Repack Schedule. Maintain daily record of downtime & line attendance. Communicate any line attendance shortages and needs to Repack Supervisor. Oversee line position proficiency & performance, report to Repack Manager. Report any performance concerns that may require staffing or positions adjustments to Repack Supervisor. Coordinate with Floor Supervisor to obtain any necessary maintenance or QA support. Report any packaging material quality concerns to Floor Supervisor. Demonstrate proficient knowledge of packaging requirements unique to orders and coordinate with forklift drivers to transport necessary packaging from dry storage to the repack/resort line. Complete daily line/equipment setup and participate in pre-op inspections. Perform daily equipment evaluation prior to start-up and report any concerns or findings to the Floor Supervisor. Maintain equipment efficiency documentation as relevant. Observe & enforce GMP compliance. Product familiarity and observational experience to identify visible concerns or questionable quality based on experience. Train all line staff according to position requirements and overall line efficiency. Oversee all line breaks and ensure line staff returns to the line as required. Work together to maintain all required housekeeping in your work area prior to all shift breaks as well as end of shift. Monitor physical environment, forklift traffic, co-workers and immediately inform line leader, floor supervisor, QA or Repack manager of any safety concerns, hazards, injuries, etc. Demonstrate knowledge of equipment E-Stop locations for emergency use. General knowledge of product quality. Experience in coaching. Education and Experience: Degree or equivalent experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Years of Experience: 6 months or greater. Physical Demands of the Position: While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to stand, reach with arms and hands, stoop, crouch and lift in excess of 50 lbs. Vision abilities required by this job include color recognition and attention to detail. This job may require working a minimum of 10 hours per shift with the flexibility to extend working hours as required. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Position Purpose Summary: The Repack Forklift Driver is responsible for running the scales, and hauling finished product to the freezer. Additionally, keeping all productions lines full with pallets and packaging. All drivers must have a company issued forklift license in their position at all times, and are responsible to maintain a clean, safe, and organized area.
