Scope of Work Under the direction of the site designated leader, assigns and monitors the work of the Ultra sonographers to optimize quality and efficiency. Acts as a resource for ultrasound staff/department. Performs diagnostic ultrasounds and other related duties to ensure department policies and imaging standards are met. Follows Corewell Health philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times. Qualifications Graduate of Diagnostic Ultrasound Program or equivalent. 3-5 years' clinical experience Ultrasound staff sonographer level preferred. Registered by American Registry Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). Must be registered in at least one (ABD or OB/GYN) at time of hire. Additional registry within 1 year from hire. Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers at hire through the American Heart Association and/or the American Red Cross. Qualifications Graduate of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Accredited Radiography program. 1-3 years clinical experience beyond staff radiographer level . Certification by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, RT (R) (MR). Additional MR certification required within 1 year of hire. Must remain in good standing with the ARRT. Technologists working in their modality before 2008 are exempt from additional modality certification.
