The employee will be primarily responsible for the manual movement, shipping and receiving of materials.ResponsibilitiesPreparing and coordinating required shipping documentation.Storing, tracking and issuing inventories.Coordinating with Property Management for shipping/receiving tooling and equipment.Monitoring receipt of items and maintaining shipment/receiving records.Assisting Accounts Payable in processing invoices by providing shipment information.Ensuring received parts/materials are staged for Quality Incoming Inspection.Ordering needed shipping supplies.Following workbooks, procedures and forms.Providing logistical support across multiple supply chain disciplines.Basic Qualifications Level 1High School Diploma/GED and relevant work experience in shipping/receiving, inventory control and/or manufacturing environment.Ability to obtain Secret Level Security Clearance (US Citizenship Required).Ability to obtain special program access.Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitive work, including bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools and lifting up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.Basic Qualifications Level 2High School Diploma/GED and 2 years of relevant experience in shipping/receiving, inventory control and/or manufacturing environment.Ability to obtain Secret Level Security Clearance (US Citizenship Required).Ability to obtain special program access.Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitive work, including bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools and lifting up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.Preferred QualificationsExperience operating a forklift and other types of freight moving equipment.Experience safely loading and unloading trucks.Experience setting up shipments and/or coordinating with transportation brokers.Experience with classified white‑glove shipping requirements.Experience using an MRP system for storing and issuing inventory.Previous experience with inventory that has shelf life and/or out‑time controls.Proficiency with MS Office computer programs to create reports, logs and briefings.Hazmat training and experience is highly desired.SalaryPrimary Level Salary Range: $32,500.00 – $54,100.00.Secondary Level Salary Range: $38,600.00 – $64,400.00.The above salary range serves as a guideline; Northrop Grumman considers several factors when determining base salary offers such as scope of duties, candidate experience, education, skills and prevailing market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
