Essential Job Functions, Duties, And Responsibilities: Therapy Functions: Administers specified components of therapy programs for patients in accordance with state practice acts, through the use of accepted treatment methods as described by recognized standards of practice, company policies and its agents, and applicable reimbursement guidelines for rehabilitation, as prescribed by physicians, to rehabilitate a person to his/her maximum functional ability. Utilizes system established by the company for scheduling treatments, maintaining and communicating work schedules, preparing work assignments, maintaining and reporting productivity, and performing clinical supervision for support staff. Performs work in an efficient manner to meet productivity standards and to display equity of duties, patient care and other tasks, among members of the staff. Displays behaviors which promote customer satisfaction and promotes positive work relationships with members of the staff and staff from facilities where services are provided. Performs assessments and treatments, observing all policies for timeliness, and utilizes specific procedures, forms, and format for documentation and communication of information. Documents appropriate clinical information in an organized and legible manner, according to company policy and with demonstrated knowledge of applicable reimbursement guidelines. Promotes a safe work culture through the use of safe work practices including automobile use and proper body mechanics. Represents safe work practices to coworkers to make safety awareness a requirement for each employee's satisfactory job performance. Education and Experience: Previous Respiratory experience either in long term care or hospital setting. Preferred 6 months - 1 year experience. As a Massage Therapist, you will tailor massage treatments to your patient's individual needs and health goals. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in a variety of massage styles, possess a deep knowledge of human anatomy and the musculoskeletal system, and work well as part of a holistic wellness team. Responsibilities Perform a variety of massage and body treatments, including couples massage. Essential Job Functions Conduct and coordinate the development and completion of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessment in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the resident assessment, including the implementation and completion of Care Area Assessment's (CAA) and Care Area Trigger's (CAT). Manages the reimbursement process and works collaboratively with the business office and therapy department. Assist and provide input into ongoing updates of policies and procedures that govern the development, use, and implementation of the resident assessment (MDS) and care plan. Participate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies. Ensures facility is in compliance with the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process. Work with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) in completing a comprehensive MDS and care plan for each resident. Ensure that care provided is in accordance with the resident's wishes and Develop and participate in the planning, conducting, and scheduling of timely in-service training classes that assist in nursing to ensure there is good supporting documentation for the MDS. Assist in developing any training activities needed concerning resident assessment/care plan skills. Coordinate the development of a written plan of care (immediate and comprehensive) for each resident that identifies the problems/needs of the resident, indicates the care to be given, goals to be accomplished, and which staff are responsible for each element of care. Monitor the care plan so that it includes measurable objectives and timetables to meet the resident's medical, nursing, and mental and psychosocial needs as identified in the resident's assessment. Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) and relevant supervisors of other departments in ensuring that all personnel involved in providing care to the resident are aware of the resident's care plan. Monitor and ensure compliance of the MDS process. Coordinate the review and revision of the resident's care plan by the interdisciplinary team after each quarterly review or other assessment, ensuring that the care plan is evaluated and revised each time an assessment is done or when there is a change in the resident's status. Personnel Functions Perform employee performance evaluations (if applicable). Determine MDS staffing requirement, and making recommendations to the DON concerning employee dismissals, transfers, etc. Review and evaluate your team's work process and work to improve. Develop work assignments and/or assist in completing and performing such assignments. Submit complaints and grievances DON. Knowledge and Critical Skills Be able to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
