Provides clinical leadership, consultation, and access to clinical resources for direct patient/resident care departments within each network facility. Responsible for providing professional, technical, clinical expertise to individual network facilities, field locations or field agencies, depending on department, as well as within network administration. Responsible for multiple states and must manage to multiple, distinct and differing regulatory requirements in all aspects of Long Term and Post-Acute Care. Leads and coordinates the implementation of strategic nursing plan initiatives across the rural or field locations. Mentors and orients new nursing leaders to their roles; advises, counsels, and links them to internal and external resources. This role is a key driver of clinical operational change. Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). Demonstrated progressive nursing leadership experience; 5 years experience in a long term or post-acute care setting required. Previous experience as Director of Nursing in long term care preferred. Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
