POSITION SUMMARY Motor Coach Industries (MCI), North America’s top motor coach manufacturer, is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as an Assemblyperson. In this role you will install, assemble and test an assortment of coach components within the company set Takt time. Throughout all aspects of this role you will promote a safe working environment and comply with all HS&E regulations including following all Plant and Plant Safety rules. No prior experience in this specific role is necessary—we're willing to provide full training to the right candidate. Responsible for using various hand, air and power tools including but not limited to drills, impact guns, grinders, sanders and torque wrenches Responsible for following all work instructions and reading blueprints where applicable Any other duties as assigned WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: Read and understand work instructions, interpret blueprints or drawings, previous manufacturing experience considered an asset. Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems and components, including wiring, circuit boards, and electrical devices. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations regarding electrical systems and safety. Collaborate with other technicians and team members to troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical problems. Inspect and test electrical systems using specialized equipment. Assist in the development and implementation of new electrical systems and technologies. Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and other electrical-related activities. WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: High school diploma or equivalent, with technical training in electrical systems preferred. Proven experience as an Electrical Technician in the automotive or related industry considered an asset. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting techniques. Maintain and monitor seasonal equipment, ensuring timely maintenance and optimal condition. WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with preference for leadership or management roles where you’ve overseen teams and coordinated departmental activities. Experience with MRP/ERP systems is a plus, but not essential. However, a strong ability to manage budgets, inventory, and materials is crucial. Excellent analytical, organizational, and numerical skills are necessary for monitoring performance metrics, conducting root cause analysis, and managing departmental budgets. Effective communication and leadership skills are key, with a demonstrated ability to lead a team, set clear goals, provide direction, and drive continuous improvement.
