Southern Health Partners is currently seeking a dedicated Full Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Wood County Justice Center. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality nursing care in a secure and dynamic environment. This role involves working closely with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive healthcare services tailored to meet the specific needs of inmates, ensuring a high standard of care and maintaining safety within the facility. This role is ideal for compassionate, patient-focused professionals who are committed to upholding the dignity and respect of all individuals. Administer daily medications and treatments as per physician orders. Perform health assessments and screenings of inmates. Document all nursing care provided and maintain comprehensive medical records. Participate in the development and implementation of inmate care plans. Coordinate with other medical and security staff to ensure continuity of care. Educate inmates about health maintenance and disease prevention. Strong practical nursing skills and an understanding of patient care protocols. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with inmates and staff. Ability to work independently in a controlled environment. Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities. Knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures in a correctional setting.
