Performs work that requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequences, selecting tools and testing instruments. Follows procedures, regulations, and guidelines while minimizing errors and safety risks. Make regular rounds of equipment areas, read meters and gauges, and adjust controls. Performs corrective and preventive maintenance, routine repair, modification, troubleshooting and calibration. Take test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, and oscilloscopes. Under supervision, operate, maintain and repair electronic and computer systems such as clocks, closed circuit TVs, automatic fire alarms, security, energy management systems; apply safety procedures in the course of work. Maintain records of work performed. Respond to emergency calls after normal work hours. Frequent travel between facilities is required. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
