Apprehending, physically restraining, or working with law enforcement officials to identify or apprehend violators of state, federal, or immigration laws. Proficient in the use of firearms, preparing investigative reports, serving court orders (e.g., warrants, subpoenas, etc.), and gathering evidence for criminal cases prosecuted through the court system. If you have previous or current law enforcement or military law enforcement experience, you may qualify at the GS-11 grade level. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and are subject to change at management’s discretion:Ensures proper procedures are followed in opening and closing table and card games;Maintains awareness of all pit activity at all time, including the card room;Builds and maintains rapport with casino guest and handles guest disputes, making every effort to achieve customer satisfaction at all times;Makes decisions regarding, and resolves conflicts stemming from, customer-related issues; Approves all weekly work schedules for all Table Games employees on the casino floor; Fosters and maintains positive team member, management and guest/house relations;Responsible for, in conjunction with the Table Games Manager, disciplinary actions for Team members, when warranted, up to and including suspension;Assures compliance with federal currency transaction reporting requirements (Title 31);Reviews daily and monthly reports providing written explanations for any unusual table games statistical fluctuations in hold and win percentages and poker rake fluctuations;Reviews all gaming promotions; provides input and suggestions to Department Managers, Division Directors and Chief Operations Officer;Develops and implements pit policies and procedures to improve security, efficiency, asset protection, and guest service;Performs functions of table games pit manager and table games floor supervisor when necessary (may have access to sensitive areas, keys, information and may sign forms authorized for these positions only when performing one of these functions);Determines inventory needs, and orders when necessary, cards and dice and other supplies;Exercises appropriate judgment and discretion to identify situations that require the attention of upper management;Reviews, on a periodic basis, card games and table games playing rules, to determine the need for any changes;Reviews, on a periodic basis, the table games and card games floor layouts, to determine the need for any changes;Adheres to all regulatory, departmental, and casino policies and procedures, and to the casino Internal Control StructureTeam member must be aware of and comply with all attendance policies, procedures and work schedules in a cooperative manner.Other duties may be assigned;Supervisory Responsibilities Directly manages Table Games Pit Managers. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the casino's policies; and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; performance reviews; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing issues and resolving conflicts.Education and/or Experience Requirements Meets IMGR&C Values that are reflected in the letters A-P-A-C-H-E, Accountability, Productivity, Acceptance, Communication, Hospitality, and Enthusiasm. A.) or equivalent from college, university or technical school and relevant training; or a minimum of five years’ experience in table games operations may be substituted. At least two of those years must be as a Casino Pit Manager. Previous management experience mandatory. Mescalero Apache Tribal preference; bicultural experience preferred.
