Measure, cut, and shape wood using hand and power tools. Assemble and install framing structures, including walls, floors, and roofs. Install windows, doors, and other fixtures. Provide the construction expertise, organizational and communication skills necessary to complete quality building projects profitably. Demonstrate and uphold Sherman’s safety procedures as well as efficient construction methods and quality standards. Provide leadership and direct a crew of 3-4 members in all aspects of the building construction process. Organize job tasks for crew members to ensure efficient completion of projects. Assist in technical training and re-training of crew members, including new hires, to ensure adherence to safety and construction procedures. Complete projects on time and within budget. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years' experience leading construction projects. Experience in carpentry, framing, post-frame construction, or equivalent. Ability to work in physically demanding environments and at heights. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., occasionally up to 75 lbs. Possession of a valid Driver's License; applicant driving record will be checked for Class A CDL eligibility within 6 months of hire, with assistance. High School diploma or GED preferred.
