Job Description Responsibilities : A Registered Nurse who, under the direction of the nursing leadership, is responsible for planning, directing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating nursing care for a specific unit during her/his shift. \n \n Receives report from previous shift, making sure that he/she has received all pertinent information on each resident. \n Continuously evaluates behavior, symptoms, reactions and progress of residents and discusses findings with Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse. \n Administers and documents all medications according to established policies and procedures, physician's orders and Department of Health regulations. \n Performs all treatments according to physician’s specific order and established policies and procedures. \n Discusses the need to discontinue or change a medication of treatment with the Nurse Manager/ Charge Nurse. \n Orders prescribed medications, notifies pharmacy of discontinued medications: and ensures accuracy of medications and dosages when received from pharmacy. \n
