The Southern Iowa Council of Governments serves 67 communities and eight counties. Experience in planning or public administration is preferred. Experience working with governmental projects is also an asset. The successful candidate will have several years of public management experience, especially in regional development. Other important qualities are the ability to manage and direct a talented staff, establish effective partnerships with other community institutions and local, state and federal leaders. Knowledge and experience in: budgeting and general accounting principles, understanding and creating programs that follow state and federal grant administrative rules, being a positive, responsive representative of SICOG to stakeholders and the public.
