We are seeking an entry-level Technology Service Assistant to become part of our IT Team responsible for maintaining the Bank’s computer environments by analyzing requirements, resolving problems, and installing hardware and software solutions. This role requires a self-sufficient individual who can work independently and collaboratively with the IT Team and managed IT providers. The Technology Service Assistant is responsible for onsite and remote installation and support for all technologies deployed by the bank, playing a vital role in the day-to-day experience of employees and Bank operations. Key Responsibilities: Help Desk: Manage the processing of incoming calls to the Help Desk to ensure courteous, timely, and effective resolution. Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, and configuring systems and applications. Monitor fixes to ensure problems have been adequately resolved. Attend training seminars to broaden knowledge of current and future Help Desk issues and technologies. Escalate issues to the MIT vendor and ensure user’s issues are adequately resolved. Hardware & Software: Assist with maintaining inventory of company software and hardware assets. Research and make recommendations on software and hardware products and services. Where necessary, dispose of obsolete equipment. Working knowledge of Windows desktop and server OS and Office 365. Vendors: Work with vendors to ensure that the organization’s interests and needs are being met. Additional Responsibilities: After hours or weekend work is sometimes required. Perform any other work designated by supervisor. Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 25lbs. A valid driver’s license and transportation to travel to satellite offices. Job Skills and Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. One to two years’ experience or equivalent education required. Abilities in analyzing issues and finding effective solutions. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Confidence, professionalism, energy, and an organized demeanor. Ability to effectively prioritize and manage duties and responsibilities.
