As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you will help the Army provide cloud and technical engineering to solve challenges using state-of-the-art cloud solutions. You will work on exciting projects, growing your skills, and work with other dedicated people who are solving mission and organizational needs. Tasking Comfortable in a client-facing situation to help create innovative business solutions based on your Azure Cloud networking and administration experience. Participate in the design and implementation of secure operational solutions and services across the client’s business and IT support areas. Support migration and deployment of applications to Army Azure Cloud environment. Experience with DevOps and building CI/CD pipelines to support application and infrastructure deployments. Implementation and operations of operational capabilities and tooling (Azure native first) required for ongoing operations in the areas of: Monitoring Alerting Security Controls Backups/Restore Disaster Recovery Develop and maintain software solutions/scripts to support automation of cloud configuration and administration. Implement cloud infrastructure solution offerings based on public cloud, private cloud, hybrid client environments, and multi-cloud environments. Support security audits, accreditation, and certification processes for cloud-based system architectures. Build, maintain, and monitor comprehensive alerting and monitoring tools to maintain awareness of, and expedite troubleshooting of infrastructure related issues in Azure environments. Provide advisement to other team members and customers on best practices for the implementation of Cloud components, tools, dashboards, and automation. Serve as point of escalation for challenging and complex issue resolution. Defining and ensuring team members follow a rigorous server patching process. Location and Travel Details Location flexible with preference to Ft. Eustis, Austin, TX or NOVA. Possible occasional travel as needed. Security Clearance and Citizenship Requirements Active Secret Security Clearance - possible upgrade to TS/SCI. Experience MSSA Training or equivalent in the Server and Cloud Administration Learning Path. Knowledge of production readiness and operation capabilities using tools like Azure Monitor, Azure Sentinel, Azure Automation, Azure Backup, Azure Security Center, etc. Apply these capabilities to IaaS and PaaS services such as VMs, Azure Service Environment ASE, Azure Kubernetes Service AKS, Spring Cloud, Azure Virtual Desktop, etc. Be well versed in general infrastructure technology and understand public and private cloud concepts such as Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Desktop as a Service (DaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). Experience with automation to Infrastructure (IaC) - Infrastructure as Code such as ARM and Terraform. Experience with the Cloud, Windows/SQL Server, PowerShell scripting, and virtualization. Experience developing, deploying, configuring, and managing cloud-based systems supporting enterprise web-based applications. Ability to manage Azure subscriptions and resources, implement and manage storage, deploy and manage virtual machines, PaaS services, configure and manage virtual networks, and manage identities. Experience with DevOps and implementing CI/CD pipelines. Must have’s Obtain or utilize certifications as part of continuous professional growth, especially Microsoft infrastructure and Azure related certifications. Security+ or equivalent certification or ability to quickly obtain. Experience with Terraform. PowerShell scripting for task automation; Infrastructure as Code. Target salary range: $100,000 - $130,000 . The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors. Overall Description: Serve as behavioral science subject matter experts with the agency as their primary client. They provide psychological consultation; develop and deliver T&E briefs, presentations, and workshops; conduct R&D activities, and participate in liaison engagements at the request of the client. They respond to Agency-wide requirements for behavioral science subject matter expertise. Duties include, but are not limited to: Consultation: Integrate established and emerging psychological principles and best practices into current and future efforts to deter, detect, and mitigate potential threats to the agency by providing expert national security psychology consultation to relevant internal and external stakeholders and mission partners. Examples include, but are not limited to: Direct Assessments: Conduct direct psychological assessments on behalf of the agency, in support of agency initiatives, and IAW the SII mission. Direct assessments often are a component of consultation to SISP adjudication but may conduct direct assessments for other purposes (e.g., psychological assessment and selection). The agency is the primary client of SIIB assessments. Organizational and Management Consultation: Provide consultation to leaders and teams regarding management, leadership, personnel, and systemic organizational matters. Examples include, but are not limited to identification of and response to concerning behaviors, problem solving, team dynamics, motivation, performance enhancement, operational resiliency, workforce trends, and post-incident reviews. Individual Consultation: Provide individual behavioral science consultation to advance the SII and NGA missions. Training & Education (T&E): Educate relevant stakeholders in the theoretical and empirical bases of behavioral science and national security psychology related to the deterrence, detection, and mitigation of potential threats by providing expert training briefs, presentations, and educational courses. Examples include, but are not limited to: Elicitation awareness and defensive strategies Incorporating behavioral science into counter-insider threat programs Capabilities briefings Operational resiliency and retention in high-stress, high-OPTEMPO assignments. Research & Development (R&D): Innovate and advance the science of counter-insider threat and national security psychology by improving existing methods and developing new methods to deter, detect, and mitigate potential threats through behavioral science R&D and the application of scientific rigor to current methods and process improvements. Common R&D activities and work products include, but are not limited to: Policy review Survey research White papers Validation studies Executive summaries Project briefings Literature reviews Academic inquiries Liaison: Communicate innovations, findings, lessons learned, and best practices throughout the DoD, IC, and broader community, as appropriate, to aid others in the deterrence detection and mitigation of potential threats. Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with other national security psychologists and associated professionals within the counter-insider threat, military, forensic, law enforcement, security, and counterintelligence communities. Collaborate on innovative solutions to real-time national security problems. Routine Administrative Functions: Perform routine administrative functions that meet program and performance objectives within the thresholds identified in this SOW.
