The site produces Adhesives used in various industrial manufacturing applications. This position performs various operations necessary to produce Adhesives, adhering to all applicable company rules and regulations, legal regulations, and ISO environmental and quality requirements while also meeting production schedules. Everyday performance of duties in this position must be done in an ethical manner with safety as the primary responsibility. This position works a rotating 12-hour shift including holidays, weekends, and some overtime. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Control or operate chemical processes or systems of machines, using computer systems or semi-automatic equipment. Load raw materials, transfer chemicals from one area to another, package finished product, and operate/troubleshoot process equipment. Ensure quality and conformance with standard operating procedures. Maintain safety standards at all times and initiates and follows emergency procedures when necessary. Move control settings within operating limits to make necessary adjustments on equipment units affecting speeds of chemical reactions, quality, or yields. Monitor recording instruments, flow meters, panel lights, or other indicators and listen for warning signals, to verify conformity of process conditions. Partners with team members and leaders during shifts and at shift hand-over; raises potential issues and barriers appropriately; leaves area prepared for next shift. Identifies continuous improvement opportunities; collaborates to solve problems. Education & Experience: Required: High School diploma or GED equivalent. Willing and able to work a 12-hour rotating shift, including nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and on short notice call-in as needed by the business. Willing and able to: lift 55lbs regularly; climb stairs, ladders, stoop, bend, kneel, utilize visual acuity for close work, reach overhead, hear and respond to alarms; and work in various weather conditions. Willing and able to wear required PPE (personal protective equipment) such as steel toed shoes, hardhat, Nomex, protective eyewear, face shield, and respirator as needed.
