Responsibilities Support the plant’s continuity of business activities, including: Creation of plans and schedules for projects/CTW, including: Purchasing and installing/validating new equipment and production areas Process improvements and validations (TMVs, IQ/OQ/PQ) Supporting investigations and requirements of the QMS Identifying opportunities for improvement, e.g.: Material flow/lean improvements Efficiency in material and labor usage Preparation and presentation of AFEs Preparing the Capital Budget and maintaining control of expenditures Performance Management Responsibilities Leading and coordinating activities that involve cross‑functional teams Establishing priorities and assigning work to team Providing updates to all levels of the organization Developing and maintaining budgets Coaching and performance management of direct reports Advising team to facilitate schedule achievement or resolve technical/operational problems in support of plant goals Reviews and approves documentation and checks for completeness and accuracy Acts as an internal consultant for other projects within Tempe, PI and BD Collaborate with Product Development/R&D Team to support activities to launch, transfer, maintain and commercialize new or legacy products from design to manufacturing, including participation in the following areas: Development and management of a transition plan and team Process and method documentation, methods and labor standards review Component inventory transition plan Facility selection, coordination & preparation Coordination and validation of all new supplier tooling and molds Equipment moves and installation IQ, OQ, PQ protocol development and execution Validation and training support Design reviews and design for manufacturability Evaluation and recommendation of new materials Changes to legacy products’ cost estimates or process in conjunction with the design center Special projects and other duties, as assigned Education And Experience Bachelor of Science degree required Minimum of (5) years relevant experience preferred 2-3 years as a People Leader Solid foundation in GMP, process validation and control and statistical methods Knowledge And Skills Required Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency in project management and leadership High level of written and verbal communication skills Ability to conceptualize ideas, motivate and focus individuals and teams and drive projects through completion on time and on budget Understanding and ability to execute DOE, Process validations, and Test method validations Ability to analyze, present and defend data using statistical methods and techniques Understanding of GMPs and medical device regulations as they apply to manufacturing Strong potential skills for coaching, developing and guiding team Preferred Qualifications Experience in manufacturing based and/or PMA (Class‑III) products Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering degree MS or MBA degree Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use sight, and use hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools, controls, and office equipment. The employee frequently is required to verbally communicate with other associates. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel or crouch. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be in an open cubicle environment. Candidate must be able to work in a team‑oriented, fast‑paced environment.
