Communicates with hospitals and EMS agencies to place students in clinical and/or field rotations. Monitors compliance with requirements of students and manages the clinical contract process. Responsibilities/Duties: Coordinates the Clinical and/or Field Internship Education Program: Maintains current knowledge of the state, local, and accreditation regulations and requirements from the various regulatory bodies: IE, California EMS Agency, Title 22, Joint Commission, Local LEMSA, CAAHEP, and others as indicated. Coordinates clinical/affiliation agreement initiation and renewal with the agency and the Dean. Clinical Coordinator Responsibilities: Develops and maintains relationships with managers and other lead staff in each clinical area that accepts Program students. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of drafting and negotiating sophisticated agreements related to intellectual property, technology licensing, data privacy, and commercial transactions. Key Responsibilities: Drafting and Negotiating Agreements: Structure, draft, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including SaaS subscription agreements, software licenses, technology partnerships, IP licensing, and data processing agreements. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including data privacy and security requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). Develop and maintain template agreements for efficient and consistent contract management. Intellectual Property (IP) Counseling: Provide strategic guidance on IP protection, enforcement, and commercialization strategies. Qualifications and Experience: J.D. degree from an accredited law school and admission to at least one state bar. 7+ years of legal experience with a focus on SaaS, technology transactions, and intellectual property. Strong understanding of software licensing, open source software, cloud computing, and data privacy laws. Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Sound business judgment and strategic thinking skills.
