Position Summary **Full-time days, Monday-Friday 6:30a-3pm, including Holiday's and Call** This position performs a variety of technical functions and duties to provide for availability of supplies and equipment and maintains sterile field for operating procedures. Position Duties Assists to perform room turnovers in accordance with established procedure and department requirements/standards as part of procedural team. Participates in a variety of surgical cases by assisting surgeons at the surgical field. 1. Prepares and sets up operating room for surgical procedures and organizes sterile areas, instruments, and equipment in accordance with established procedure, department, and physician requirements and standards. 2. Handles and cares for specific instrumentation to prevent breakage and damage. 3. Reviews requirements of patient, physician, and procedure idiosyncrasies to assess set up, equipment, and supply needs. 4. Communicates with procedural team to provide for thorough preparedness. 5. Seeks guidance from appropriate source for performing or assisting with procedures as needed based on level of personal expertise. 6.Handles and labels all specimens. 7. Suggests and assists update and maintain physician preference cards. Participates in re-stocking, re-supplying, and cleaning of all operating rooms, specialty carts, and sterile core to provide for efficient, effective, and safe department operations. The Floor Care Technician provides superior cleaning services onsite at Carlson client locations under limited supervision and works in a collaborative relationship with other Carlson Building Maintenance team members. The Floor Care Technician is a representative of Carlson and interacts with customers, store personnel and the public in a respectful and friendly manner. Responsibilities Operating Floor Machines Sweeping Debris Cleanup Vacuuming Restroom Cleaning Quality Control Checks New Hire Training Qualifications Availability to work on weekends Reliable transportation or access to public transportation Physical Demands Ability to regularly lift 45 pounds. Ability to push and pull floor cleaning equipment over concrete, tile and carpeted floors. Must possess sufficient physical strength, ability and stamina to perform a variety of janitorial tasks related to care of floors. Ability to work with a variety of cleaning products. Ability to work night shift and/or very early morning hours as dictated by the needs of the position. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
