Description The Production Planning and Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining efficient production schedules to meet customer demand and company goals. This role ensures that materials, equipment, and labor resources are effectively allocated to support on‑time delivery and optimized production performance. The Coordinator works closely with operations, procurement, logistics, and sales teams to align production plans with capacity, inventory levels, and customer requirements. Requirements Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer orders, forecasts, and production capacity. Coordinate with production, purchasing, and inventory teams to ensure material availability and readiness to meet schedule requirements. Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes in demand, resource availability, or production delays. Communicate schedule updates, changes, and priorities to relevant departments, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned. Review and analyze production data to identify potential bottlenecks, resource constraints, or process inefficiencies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date scheduling records, including work orders, capacity plans, and delivery timelines. Collaborate with logistics and shipping teams to ensure on‑time delivery of finished goods to customers. Generate and review reports on production performance, schedule adherence, and capacity utilization. Provide insights and recommendations for improvement. Participate in planning meetings and support continuous improvement initiatives related to production efficiency and workflow optimization. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or a related manufacturing coordination role. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments. High attention to detail with strong problem‑solving and time‑management abilities. Familiarity with manufacturing processes, inventory management, and capacity planning principles. Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and production demands. Physical Demands Ability to sit for extended periods. Frequent use of hands, wrists, and fingers in repetitive tasks. Capability to focus on and repeat physical activities. Ability to move between various locations within the building. Ability to push, pull, carry, and lift items as needed for work and travel. Mental Demands Ability to think critically and maintain high accuracy. Skills in identifying complex problems, developing options, and implementing solutions. Capability to work collaboratively with others. Consistent and punctual attendance in compliance with ADAAA, FMLA, and other applicable standards. Ability to focus on and remember important details.
