Head of Project Management & US Strategy

Set up and implement business plan for Asendia USA to contribute to improve the growth in revenue & EBIT; Consolidate market intelligence information and be responsible for the adoption and roll out of a new innovation and strategy on activity planning process: set up roles, missions, decision making process; Manage and oversee the execution of the strategic plan by constituting a pool of Project Managers & launching relevant projects; Ensure functional & line management to: Existing project managers and new project managers to be hired; Launch projects necessary to fulfill the strategic plan; Ensure the new organization reaches the maturity level defined by the US Management Board; Provide internal consultancy on selected projects as specified in mandates defined with project stakeholders and participating to US Project & Strategy Steering Committees; Ensure coordination with Asendia global Strategy executives and act as part of the global Project Management Office community; and Spread out the APO methodology and own the priority and resources management process towards the US Management Board. In order to complete the above-mentioned tasks, the following skills and experience are required: Experience in e-Commerce Cross-border delivery market and experience developing effective business strategies in this market; Understanding of internal processes and decision making teams + culture; experience continuously bringing change management to an organization; Experience with management of global, complex and strategic projects and programs from initiation to achievement of target return on investment KPIs; Advanced project management skills & experience with tools like Prince 2 (waterfall principles, Microsoft Project); Experience developing and implementing Project Management Office processes: specialized Project Management and Portfolio Management processes worldwide / in different regions (setting up roles, processes, missions at all levels of the organization); Experience initiating projects/programs, building project management strategies and activity planning process methodologies from the ground up, providing, training and guidance to internal personnel; Experience providing internal consultancy to Project Managers and project teams to initiate, lead and close their projects; Experience ‘enforcing’ project management processes at all levels of the organization (from contributors to Group Management Board members); Experience overseeing the risk management and reporting processes for projects, escalating major risks to a management board/body; and Experience assessing project targets, capacity, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Return on Investment (ROI) and projects strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT). Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in International Strategy, Business Management, Marketing or a related field, and at least three of years of experience as a Project Management and Strategy Management Board Member or related occupation. Join us as we carry on the tradition of taking people on a journey! The Role The Driver Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a specific group of drivers and monitoring performance and dispatch. This role involves managing the day-to-day functions of the Driver workforce and ensuring pool compliance, effective employee/labor relations, driver retention, and safety performance. Responsibilities: Daily interaction with the driver workforce. Interviews, selects, trains, and manages the driver workforce. Ensures all personnel have been trained and/or retrained according to operational procedures. Follows up with new drivers at regular scheduled intervals on their performance. Reviews manpower needs and ensures proper coverage, including managing driver dispatch for route personnel. Ensures drivers are reporting to work on time and in complete uniform ready to work. Ensures employee development by providing ongoing feedback to drivers concerning strengths and areas of needed improvement using DriveCam reporting and customer feedback. Investigates and acts on feedback regarding drivers and safe operational practices. Responsible for planning of future books offs and run change assignment. Ensures compliance with safety standards, adherence to all DOT and FMCSA regulations. Ensures that all company standards are met for all drivers in the areas of appearance, training, education, safety, and regulatory compliance. Make sure drivers are properly credentialed to operate a commercial motor vehicle. Work closely with HR to address all levels personnel matters. Work with drivers to ensure good labor relations are maintained. Ensure the following of the CBA to ensure proper handling of grievance process. Review electronic DOT logs and/or paper DOT logs. Monitors on-time performance on a real-time basis.
