The Group Medical Director (GMD), New Products will have medical oversight of multiple projects and/or products for solid tumor pipeline assets, reporting to the Head, New Products in Solid Tumor Medical Affairs. The GMD New Products will develop the medical strategy for assigned projects/products with a goal to address medical and scientific issues. The medical strategy will be aligned with Medical Affairs (MA) leadership and the Integrated Strategy and Scientific Strategy teams. The GMD New Products will have a higher degree of autonomy in working with MA leadership to devise strategies addressing crucial gaps via critical relationships across Medical Affairs, Global Medical Affairs, R&D, V&E, Commercial and others. He/she will lead and effectively partner with Alliance partners (if applicable) on those activities. Contribute to the Integrated Evidence Generation Plan and the strategic publication plan for pipeline products. Develop and align Advisory Board strategy, execute Advisory Boards and maintain relationships with external investigators, opinion leaders and patient advocacy groups. Qualifications: MD (or equivalent), PharmD, PhD required. Strongly preferred MD (Medical Oncologist preferred). Board certification in Oncology or related field is preferred. Solid Tumor experience is required. Knowledge of lung, colorectal, head and neck cancers is preferred. A minimum of five years of experience in a strategy-setting role with at least two years in the pharmaceutical industry or equivalent experience is preferred. Experience in developing or launching a new pharmaceutical/biologic product is preferred. Experience in pharmaceutical trial design and conduct (Phases II-IV) within the pharmaceutical industry, CRO or academia is preferred. Excellent written, oral and presentation skills are required. Strong organizational skills are a must. A demonstrated ability to work in a matrix type environment with interaction with cross-functional teams is required.
