Jobs for City Of Shamokin in Shamokin, PA FULL TIME POLICE OFFICER City of Shamokin Civil Service Exam Applications are being accepted for employment as a Full Time Police Officer for the City of Shamokin Police Department. Applications can be obtained at Shamokin City Hall, 47 E. Lincoln St., Shamokin, PA Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, must be a citizen of the United States of America, must possess a high school or general equivalency diploma, must be physically and mentally fit to perform the full duties of a police officer, and possess a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License. All applicants will be subject to an extensive background check, criminal history check, driver record check, credit check, and psychological exam, in addition to a Civil Service Commission Written Exam, Physical Agility Test, and Oral interview. Act 120 Certification is preferred, but not required. A $35 non-refundable application fee is due at the time applicants pick up their application packet. Checks or money orders should be made payable to the City of Shamokin. The deadline for applications to be submitted is 4:00pm on October 4, 2024.
