Position Summary: Join our dedicated team as a Registered Nurse specializing in Neurosurgery, where you will play a critical role in caring for patients with complex neurological conditions. This position offers opportunities for growth and skill enhancement in a fast-paced, supportive environment. Location: Aurora St Lukes Medical Center - 2900 W Oklahoma Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53215 Compensation: $37.50 - $56.25, based on experience and qualifications. Work Schedule: Full-time, 36 hours per week, 3rd Shift, including 8 and 12-hour shifts, every third weekend rotation, and holiday rotation. Benefits: Advocate Health offers a comprehensive benefits package, including a sign-on bonus of $15,000 for 3rd Shift, student loan forgiveness up to $20,000, and tuition assistance of up to $7,200. Additional benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid time off, and retirement plans with employer matching. Unit Overview: Work in our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit, where you will care for diverse patient populations, including those undergoing post-operative procedures such as craniotomies, spine surgeries, and stroke care as part of our Comprehensive Stroke Program. Your Responsibilities: Deliver and coordinate comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care utilizing the nursing process. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and compassionate patient care. Apply clinical judgment and critical thinking to support optimal patient outcomes. Contribute to enhancing patient experience across the continuum of care. Qualifications: Must hold an active Registered Nurse license and BLS certification. Completion of an accredited nursing program. Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to provide holistic patient care and work collaboratively with a healthcare team. Effective communication, problem-solving, and time management skills are essential. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, stand, walk, and perform tasks requiring physical strength throughout the workday.
