Description Payroll Coordinator – Full-Time Location: Administrative Office – 500 Cross St., Big Stone City, SD Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (30-minute unpaid break) Status: Full-time, 1.0 FTE | Deadline to Apply: Friday, June 13, 2025 (or until filled) Big Stone Therapies is currently seeking a Payroll Coordinator to join our team at our Administrative Office in Big Stone City, SD. This full-time, benefited position is scheduled for 40 hours per week. Position Overview Under the general and direct supervision of the Payroll Supervisor, the Payroll Coordinator provides administrative support to the payroll department with minimal supervision. This role helps ensure payroll functions are carried out efficiently and accurately and assists with related administrative responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Assist managers and administrative staff with timesheet issues and questions Review and process timesheets for administrative staff Process bi-weekly payroll with Paylocity Import annual wage increases Review benefits and deductions for new employees Process and report wage garnishments Approve 401(k) changes for bi-weekly payroll Answer payroll-related policy questions Support onboarding and offboarding processes Attend meetings as required Assist with additional duties as assigned Review and approve credit card purchases Requirements Qualifications Education & Experience: Associate degree in Accounting, Administrative Assistance, or a related field preferred Equivalent direct experience may substitute for formal education depending on relevance and level Skills & Competencies: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (spreadsheet creation, formulas, reporting) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to interact professionally with staff and the public Strong time management and organizational skills High attention to detail and accuracy Comfortable in a fast-paced work environment Solid grammar, spelling, and arithmetic skills Accurate and proficient typing skills Benefits Package Health, dental, vision, life, and short-term disability insurance options Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer contribution 8 paid holidays (including your birthday!) Position Summary The Maintenance Technician performs mechanical and/or electrical maintenance on plant equipment to ensure optimal efficiency, reliability, and overall facility condition. Responds to call-outs as needed to maintain plant availability. Primary responsibility for the equipment operator is performing critical lifts needed to install, repair, replace, and remove equipment. Duties include inspecting maintenance clearances, troubleshooting, disassembling, reassembling, and replacing equipment components, as well as monitoring equipment performance. While primarily focused on critical lifts, they will also support preventive maintenance activities, including troubleshooting and assisting with procedure development and spare parts recommendations. Supports planning efforts and inventory control by following proper requisition procedures for tools, parts, and supplies. Prepares reports as required by management and plant protocols. Maintains compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, and ensures adherence to plant safety and operational procedures. Actively promotes and maintains a safe and orderly work environment. Roles & Responsibilities Recognized expert in critical lifts, with broad knowledge that may extend to related functions. Monitor the performance and operational readiness of overhead cranes, telehandlers, aerial lifts, hoists, trolleys, and related lifting equipment including straps, shackles, and lifting devices. Respond promptly to mechanical or electrical issues impacting equipment operations, ensuring minimal disruption to production or logistics workflows. Strictly follow OSHA, ASME B30, and manufacturer safety standards for crane inspection, maintenance, and operation Identify opportunities for improvements to lift-related activities, equipment reliability, and safety Accountable for tasks where errors can have significant consequences and may not be subject to direct oversight. Provide input on spare parts inventory, system lifecycle planning, and critical spare identification for crane assets Resolves highly technical issues with guidance, occasionally consulting with team leadership, and serves as a resource for peers facing similar challenges. May coordinate and support others in completing assignments within defined schedules and priorities. Frequently delivers hands-on training and mentorship in specialized technical areas to other team members. Key Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; completion of technical/vocational training is strongly preferred. Professional with 3+ years of directly related experience with critical lifts, including a solid understanding of health and safety regulations. Knowledge of load charts, lift planning, boom angles, counterweight calculations, and equipment capacities Certified Crane Operator (CCO) certification or equivalent (e.g., NCCCO, CIC, or state-recognized program) for small cranes (preferred or required, depending on jurisdiction) Telehandler operator experience Skilled in performing daily pre-use inspections of crane and telehandler systems (e.g., hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical components) Able to safely maneuver loads of various sizes and weights using proper rigging techniques and visual or radio communication Experience working on or around uneven terrain, elevated work zones, and in close proximity to people or plant equipment Additional Qualifications Desired Hands-on experience with maintenance of industrial steam boilers, battery storage systems, and high temperature fluid loops. Roles & Responsibilities Perform code-compliant welding on piping, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, boiler tubes, ductwork, and support structures Execute various welding processes (e.g., SMAW, GTAW/TIG, GMAW/MIG, FCAW) on materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, and specialty alloys Fabricate brackets, frames, guards, and other components from shop drawings, isometrics, or field measurements Use cutting, grinding, beveling, and forming tools for prep work and post-weld finishing Identify opportunities for plant improvements and related maintenance activities, equipment reliability, and safety Accountable for tasks where errors can have significant consequences and may not be subject to direct oversight. Interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and welding symbols to ensure proper fit-up and weld quality Maintain traceability and documentation of weld procedures, repairs, and materials used May coordinate and support others in completing assignments within defined schedules and priorities. Support outage and turnaround work by preparing, modifying, or replacing large welded assemblies under time-sensitive conditions Key Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; completion of technical/vocational training is strongly preferred. Professional with 3+ years of directly related experience with welding, including a solid understanding of health and safety regulations. Proficiency in multiple welding processes: SMAW, TIG, MIG & FCAW Skilled in welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy steels used in high- temperature/pressure service Experience fabricating and repairing components like: Capable of interpreting blueprints, P&IDs, and welding symbols Proficient in operating cutting, grinding, and forming tools (plasma cutters, torches, bevelers, etc.) Strong understanding of hot work safety protocols, including fire watch, gas testing, and confined space entry Additional Qualifications Desired Hands-on experience with maintenance of industrial steam boilers, battery storage systems, and high temperature fluid loops.
